Default cossy rattlin trouble

my car has got a rattle noise that is getting worse,it sounds like a exhaust clamp rattling loose but it isnt,it only does it on over run at 4k and above, touch the throttle and it goes away again or keep it under 3k on over run it wont do it,and it doesnt do it when acceratling either, just on over run at high revs, anybody got any ideas?

The bottom bolt on the alternator came loose on 2 of mine and that rattled and got me well paranoid for a bit. Also, as Tony said, possibly wastegate penny.

Hope you sort it mate, nowt worse than not knowing where a noise is coming from.

it had come loose and worn in to a egg shape in stead of being round,so it bollcksed the bracket and alternator threads, had to have 2 new brackets and a new alternator and hopefully that'll cure it.
