depends really, how much moneys is involved and weither the person is well known on the forum etc...

I have only been unure on here once doing a swap deal with someone who I didnt know....so I got him to speak to a few of his well known mates on here to vouch for him before I did a swap.....not a guarantee but a good inclination that I'd get my parts & the guy wasnt a messer.

So common sense really, post count, reputation etc...

PayPal is the safest way, if you dont receive your parts then you will 95% of the time get your money back.
5% of the time the pikeys wont pay up and paypal send the debt to a collection agency which means a potentially loooooong wait.

Best option IMO!

at 475 quid, I would be tempted to make the day trip and collect in person.

As above.... At least you get to check out the goods before you pay out for em if by any chance they are crap/ruined.

especially if he sends an empty box recorded delivery...you sign for it and your fucked, no chance with paypal as he has signed proof you received....unless its a well known member i wouldnt risk nearly Ł500 notes. theres to many knobbers out there scamming.

Yep, I would set off mid morning, arrive mid afternoon, buy the parts, pop to a ember in for some grub and a pint then head back just after rush hour.

two of you go, share the drive, couple of hours a piece, unless it is a trusted well know memember that is.
