The transits booked in for its MOT on wednesday. I had a problem a while ago with the EGR playing up and filling the inlet fannymold full of oily sludge, so i blanked it off with 2 plates. i cant be arsed taking them off for the MOT but im guessing the emissions will be a bit high?
so i was thinking about sticking some veg oil in as this lowers emissions? i used to run it on veg all the time but couldnt be arsed with the hassle, so i know it runs fine on it.
is there anything saying it has to have the correct fuel in etc.?
just make sure the air filters ok wind the throttle down so they can only rev it to 3 or somin, will fly through, a blanked off egr wont make it fail mot or smoke more

I wouldn't wind the governer down, it's part of the test to inspect it
I've bloked off my transit's egr valve and a couple of customers and had no probs with emissions. aslong as the inlet manifold is clean and allowing good flow of air it should be fine.

Bit grey this, method of inspection is to only to check its not been tampered with....there's no reason for rejection if it has been tampered with though.
I tested one running veg oil before....it bloody stunk and hurt my throat
