polly bushes
hi i am just trying to fit some polly bushes to the rear of the rs turbo and they all seam to be too large! i have had these bushes for years literally 6+ years they have never been used and have been in a damp garage and probably been wet too. They look ok but can the expand with age when not in use and wet? as they just dont fit? should i just get some new ones in?

Ah, the good ol' wishbones. For some of the makes you have to remove the metal sleeve. The problem with this is it means the weight load isnt supported. I think its Superflex who make poly's that come with their own sleeves which gives the best of both worlds

You are doing them wrong.
Here is a pic of mine
On the inner, you take the bush out and the sleeve it fits into, but NOT the big sleeve that you can see from the outside. You have only taken out the bush.
On the outer ones, press the whole bush unit out and separate from the casing. Fit the new bush into the casing and then press it back into the arm. You can do this using a block of wood and a mallet if you do not have a press.
Took me about 2 hours, and that included enamelling and baking the arms themselves.

not realy sure what you mean about the inners. i have pulled the outer 2 on with a washer and a bolt and still its too fat and when you release it just pops back out again. The larger inner one there is no way mine will fit in that hole at all if one end is in the opposite end is a goo 5-10mm out!
