Default ford focus de-cat pipe

im looking at putting a de-cat pipe on my 1..6 focus but i just carnt find any

anyone able to help and what make should i go for?

Agreed it would be a expensive and not much gain mod!
you would prob have to get one made up!sure someone on here will know!

save to get a 1.8 or 2.0 as your next car and turbo it.

To answer the question, Topgear do them, they cost between £40 for a mild steel one and £90 ish for stainless, will give you 2hp at the most. Its a 1.6, its made for economy.

lol ok

well eventually im getin a st170 lump dropped in just thought id look into one.

o and before anyone says yes i know the 1.6 and the st 170 exhausts are different and i would have to change the exhausts lol

would it be worth getting one when the st 170 lump goes in?

Nope, they are rubbish you will lose the little torque you have. I had one on mine, binned it went back and got a sports cat.

Also with the price of the 170's you may as well sell yours and by a complete car its cheaper than doing an engine swap.

I had a de-cat on my ST170 but it cracked several times where the lambda sensor screws in.

They work better if you map the car to allow it. I have one on my 1.8 but it was already like that when I got the car. I also have 2 middle boxes in my exhaust. It does rev very freely though, a lot better than some other foci but worthwhile mod...hmmm. I'd say you are better off getting a 4-1 manifold and cat back.

i can get a crashed st170 for under a grand and that will have everythign i need for the swap and 2 of my mates are mechanics and one is also a car auto electricion they said theyl do it for free as they get bored on a weekend lol so shouldnt cost that much
