Well the on-going saga of why my pissing GTI kept cutting out!
coming out of the shopping mall in crawley the bastard lights turned red so observed the law and stopped, car then chose to rev up to 3500rpm then cut out, and would it re-start - oh hell no!
Anyways as we pulled out of the car park i had noticed a recovery truck sitting there but thought nothing of it, anyway after a few traffic light sequences of me sat there like a pork chop at a jewish wedding mr recovery man came over and tapped on ma window, turns out he was a ford mechanic and heard the infuriating clicking noise coming from the fuse box, took it out and it just pissed water out!
So new fuse box and some water proofing for me! meaning that all the other changes were wasted!
But big up westbourne motors and the guy who helped me get back on the move

i think thats the only place on the drivers side it leaks, has the screen been replaced at all??
if it leaks on the passenger side its cos the battery tray has rusted through.
a very common problem.
i gotta get a new screen for mine as its got a bloody great crack in it. better not fookin leak when its done

as far as i know it hasnt had a new screen, the guy looking a tit mentioned a gromit that couldve gone maybe inside the door somewhere or under scuttle panel maybe! might get front screeen resealed as the rear window's seal is not in properly all the way accros, yet dont leak!
