What Would You Rather Have - VW Golf R32 Or Audi S3?
Both similair cars, I assume the Audi is better built and slightly quicker. However, I'd have the R32 purely for the V6 and I love the the look. Your thoughts?http://www.autozeitung.de/online/bildDB/26246_450.jpg

Infact yeah R32. There lovely, engine sounds awesome aswell. The V6 is alot better sounding than other V6's for some reason.

I think your right mate. Got the butterfly valves going on.
I'd love one when insurance allows, they have came down alot in price in recent times! |
what car do you drive bennyson?
|
S3, Prefer the quattros over most cars tbh.
|
Toughy, but if I had to choose I'd take the Audi.

Recently driven both and prefered the S3 !!! R32 felt to nose heavy
|
S3 any day mate, even tho audi and vw are same company audi's are much better made and hold the value better
|
R32 for me. A3 seems like the new chav gangster mobile round here (well not an S3 an A3 but suppose same can be said for a Golf ). But deffo R32 as they come in a very very nice blue colour (can't remember the name). There is one down me street and it definitely attracts attention and looks the bollocks. Sounds proper raspy too!

R32 FOR ME
i drove a S3 not so long a go just drove like a audi drove a mark 4 R32 and wot a car  |
golf for me to
|
as a day to day car the s3
it'll cost less to run and it handles better, plus it's got more scope for upgrades it also don't look as subtle as the r32 which means moer peole will ignore you ;) |
S3 for me. All the R32 by me are driven by dealers....................
|
is R32 FWD or 4WD?
|
S3, looks on par if not better than the R32 imo, holds it value better, and its 1 chip away from 300bhp to keep you entertained.

Can anyone confirm they use the same Quattro system?
Benni. :) |
A3 all day long
|
As far as i am aware, no. The Haldex 4x4 system in VW's is very good though. If you get a controller you can adjust the gearbox. 100% of the power to the rear or front, or whatever torque split you want, very impressive! :)

Dont know about the S3 but on the r32 you can take out a fuse and drive it front wheel drive (not that you would want to though)! Theres loads of videos on you tube showing them on the dyno just driving their front wheels
