i had 135bhp at flywheel from a 1600 with piper 285cam, vernier pully, antipump lifters, twin weber 40's side-draughts, gold top fuel pump, matched inlet manifold, mega ported and gasflowed head with largest valves available for a cvh. Needed better ignition to get anymore i think from memory. I think that you'd get more with a more modern better spec cam with solid lifters along with proper throttle bodies.

The most i've heard (from a reliable source) is 170 from a 1600cc. Not sure on the higher capacity variants.

the exhaust valves are too big as standard anyway.
Only the inlets need changing if theres enough casting to support the bigger valves,
U want to ideally use a hemi head as oppose to the lean burn.
So something like an <86 or if your lucky ford used some hemi heads post 86.
Then theres also the efi head which is a hemi but would need an adapter plate. Expect 110-115 at the wheels with like sorted cossie has said. I miss my cvh on a 4-2-1 ashley.

I'll dig a video up

I think the works RS1600i made around 200 bhp !!

You would have to spend loads to get that kind of power.

Much cheaper and more fun to chuck a turbo on IMO
