just been watching millionaire olympic special. how thick were those athletes?

they must just train all the time and not learn about anything in life. they must be really dull people to talk to. imagine not knowing that a gardener would use a polytunnel at work

mong.....of course some of them dont know much, doesn't mean they're thick...they dedicate their life from an early age and school etc takes a backseat......some catch up, some dont.

Not on any horse, just offering the explanation.....having been a high standard athlete as a child myself i KNOW how school takes second place and how little time you have for anything else.

If you dont like it far enough, its a public forum tho and thats my experience. Its not fair to criticise top level sports people for not being clever ( percieved as ) when its merely the product of their dedication to their sport

They can all probably tell you the name and location of every Olympic class sports stadium and training ground in the World, the nearest Airport to them and the height above sea level of the tracks and the typical weather there, for any time of year.
