Great pics Matt

Thanks for taking them and sharing them on here.

Deffo like these two - me and my brother pushing each other round everywhere. For me was a great day as I had fancy tyres on. My brother's Evo had near bald R888s and was struggling in places and fast in others.

Love the photos of Chip's Nova, following him around throughout the day was the most entertaining driving I've seen. He handles a tricky car very well IMHO. The Nova certainly goes well, and considering that's the first time out on track with it's current set up I'd say he did fine.

On track is the right place to find out the limits, and I was glad he was so keen to entertain everyone

Rob's Astra left me for dead down the pit straight - VERY fast and will only get better as he improves already good handling and brakes.

DC's car fast as ever

Time Attack Evo, and two other Evos with 500+ bhp made mince meat out of me down the straights. 320 bhp still

Chip - your Nova is honestly the first car in ages that's made me giggle
My pleasure as usual Will, happy to have you aboard and cheers again for the early warning of the crashed Audi right where I was heading!

Chip's car deffo raised a smile on most people's faces

Pleasure Jim, just don't try to do the mid corner gear changing, two wheels on the grass thing that I do in any kind of 2wd car and you'll be fine! You now know why I only peddle round in FWD or 4wd!

No worries Helen, always fun taking you around as the scared looks, feet on the imaginery brake peddle, hand covering face thing always leads me to drive even worse, just for you

Thanks to everyone who moved over for me on track, I tried waving or flashing the hazards to say thanks to you all, but for those I missed, many thanks Very good driving on track and great organisation and running by Mallory and James from the MLR who set it up

Si

Standard ones sadly

My 6 pots are back with the manufacturers at the mo, so on factory / OE discs and Carbotech pads.

They work ok though Seemed to catch everyone on braking, or while powering round Gerrards thanks to my new tyres. Even overtook another Evo round the outside of that one

Didn't see you there (blind as a bat you see) , you should have come for a ride

Ah, that's how I missed you! Good excuse though, think I'll allow that one!

Hoping to get my 6 pots back from the original supplier at some point, so not made any plans for any others yet. It does need them, even though the OE Brembos are fine, and have done most of my track days this year due to the warranty stuff with the 6 potters .

You were shoving that Scoob round for several laps when I saw it, for all that power, you get it down very well

Ditto with the vid camera probs, can't believe I took two vid cams, and got just 30 mins footage. Will watch it tomorrow and see what's on there, not much though as was first sessions only.

Chip has copied a few mins of his Nova sliding and flaming around, sure he will post that later

if you mean the white one with red graphics, that was one of jonnybravos mates althou annoyingly if i would have known that while out i would have overtaken him instead of calling him a cock for not moving over lol

not having second gear was a fuckin nightmare was cming around the hairpin in 3rd at 1700rpm so all the scoobys and evos were leaving me while i was waiting for some boost then i would catch them up on the straight, but t was not long enough to overtake.

lol

Was a bit of a bitch early on as the idle speed was set too low so it kept cutting out, the chipset i was running the engine in on today is designed for a T28 sized turbo, and I had it on a GT35R, so it took a bit of fiddling to get it running right, was alright after that though

Thanks mate, its nice just having it in one piece at the end of the day, I was expecting far more teething troubles than I had, cant believe how much track time it took in its stride today

Well, if you have a comedy car, you may as well make people laugh, even one of the marshalls said to one of our lads that it was the most entertaining car out there to watch

I blame the new sticker on the boot lid!

Says it all really. LOL

(i could rent DC the Nissan if he's struggling.... not sure he'd know what to do with the creature comforts though...)

I was shocked at how much faster through the corners it was than the 4x4 stuff, we could of easily got past Adys Subaru through Gerrards and you could tell he was on the limit.

It does prove what I thought after driving my mates Astra LET at the ring, astras although heavier handle MILES better than big block novas.

Can't wait to get my car done now, power delivery on yours is ridiculous for the limited power (in terms of what numbers others are chasing)

Well done for getting it sorted for the day, I had a thought about your coolant plumbing too, why not just run the water feed out of the back of the inlet manifold into the turbo then back to the header tank ? maybe via a small rad if your concerned about hot water returning to the tank ?

Rob - as i said to you yesterday, i was really surprised at how well your Astra put the power down!

Traction was exceptional for the weather/track conditions/tyre temps and it turned in very very well

I had visions of it being some horrible torque-steering, understeering pig - i was very wrong!

Hey guys, just signed up. i was there in my Clio (blue one) was good to meet you all and thanks to Sib for the blocks of wood so i could adjust the ast's. . Had a really good time, enjoyed playing with some of you Ford boys and not so much moving over for most the others.. road tyres dont hold up to well against slicks/semi slicks + 250bhp.

Few pictures ive found of peoples some may like to see..hope they dont mind me posting them.

Had a good play with this whos ever it is..

Happy to help, like I said at the time, my 4*4 is damn easier getting onto the wood work, but glad it helped you out!

Nice wee piccie of my car above too, thanks!

The Saph with Tiger stripes was Basky from this site.

If you were harassing him you must have been going well, as he looked quick towards the end of the day when I was watching him from the pits.

Love your Clio, minty clean, but ace on track - a nice mix.

Si
