i seen this last night
i wouldn't know a gen grp A beam if i got hit with 1
but looking at it i thought that i could do better

IIRC group A rearbeams are square tubing, the one I used to keep tripping over at my local cossie specialist was.

thats what i thought but didn't know if there was more than 1 type
i'd believe grp N but never grp A

It could have been an early group A beam, but the welding is horrible, so no way it can be. In fact they used the the standard beam, renforced it, but used magnesium arms with it, rather than the the std arms. Square rear beam came after.
