hello can anyone help im after a working 2.1 lump for my s2 rs its running 210 at the mo but want to up the power can anyone help please or know what else i can do to increse the power thanks

 

zetec turbo or zvh? how much you looking to spend? what power are you after?

 

Your standing at the edge of a very slippery slope, shouting help, quite sensible I'd say! How much do you want to spend?

 

zvh mate how much am i looking at at the moment its 1.6 with cam t34 turbo and few other stuff done but ive had car 3 yrs and wanna up the power so thats y i would like help if someone has done it then there advise will be very greatful

 

ive done a zetec turbo and on a fairly mild spec built myself it was probally around 3.5k to build myself. i personally wouldnt bother zvh and do the full zetec turbo

 

Your onto a good thing with your turbo.
Thing is once you start to up the power your going to need other related items to make the car drivable & reliable!

Was your plan to use your existing head? Has it had headwork carried outt?
Are you still on MFi and have you thought about engine management and mapping?
What have you got gearbox wise at the moment - have you budgeted for strengthening/replacing it!
Then you've brakes and suspension to think about too.

i think he means having a t34 already would save you buying a turbo to better suit the bigger engine

 

speak to ian howell mate if you want power out of a zvh he's the man!!

 

do bother but dont expect it to be cheep

I wouldnt say dont bother - just go into it with your eyes wide opened.
