Default replying to a thread?

i have just spent 15 mins writing a reply to a tread< and it didnt get posted< probably because the somthing dropped out. Is it possible to save your reply before you hit the submit button, in order to save this frustrating waste of time. Would preview post help? Thanks, from someone who still types with one hand.

Highlight your text, press Control button and C at the same time.
That copies your text to your PC's clipboard ready to be pasted back at any time using Control and V.

Right Mouse copy/paste is the same but doesnt work on many forums.
