well car was running yesterday, and then stopped running (had been started up about 9-10 times) then just couldnt work out the problem, so stripped it down a while ago and tensioner had collapsed (old one still tensions belt) but has snaped the cam .

options there for you mate if you need it anyhow
as said earlier the heads aren't interchangable, injectors mount differant and combustion chambers atc are differant

ive mastered the engine now tbh, had it back apart in no time now i know whats what but just the fooking tensioner fucked up so have to take collapsed tensioner back and fill out warrenty form. Would i be best getting a couple of garage documents saying its caused by the tensioner? as proof as its the reason for failure. sisters bf also checked the timing and belt before hand and knows these engines and said was bang on and so was tension so i know its no error of mine

ive said if they wish to come and inspect that the tensioner will no longer go tight in any position and the old one will so regardless weather my profession is a mechanic if it was too tight it would have done the belt, too loose and it would have thrown the belt and not done tensioner so i dont see thier argument really?
