Default problem with old mobile phone

i have broken my current mobile and the only other one i have that works is an old 8310 which seems to work ok accept when i put my sim in it it comes up "security code"

it doesnt do this with the random sims i have lying around and no other phone i have had does it with the sim im trying to use.

does anybody know a way round this?

sounds like a code that stops anyone from using it, normally set as 12345 as default or something easy like that, havent you got the instructions for it or maybe search online for the code?

Or buy a new phone, if its only basic functions you need you can get a half decent one for £40-50
