i have the kit in my escort cos ive had it back on the road a couple of days now or tho i'm taking it easy ive had a slight misfire about 4000rpm
i'm using 071c plugs on a standard gap.... even tho its wasted spark should they still be closed a tad?
i dont want to try this for the sake of it, as when i had omex ecu in the past it wouldnt idle after i had to get new plugs..
cheers

0.7 to 1mm with the wasted spark
You say they are running the standard gap for that plug - how have you checked, as you need to inser the feeler gauge at an angle of 45 degree to the electrode and plug nose to check the gap correctly on 071's due to their design.

Spark gap needed depends on many things.
If you buy shitty leads and/or plugs, you may as well keep the dizzi !
Wasted spark will deliver a stringer spark but it also has a slightly longer duration which promotes a more even burn.
