Pretty sure it wont as the S2 has a Knock Sensor.

ita shouldnt due to the fact the s1 dont have a knock sensor and the s2 ecu needs it, the s1 ecu fits the s2 though as the knock sensor aint needed

think the point is as christian says, dont do it ffs

get a s1 ecu or wire up a knock sensor and leave it in the side of the engine (as there was shit anyway )

ecu needs to know all sensors are working for it to work

Cheers both, i already have a S1 loom fitted mate and want to stick to the S1 interior.
I may have to try and get hold of some S1 ECU's then as the S1 loom wont have all the right connections for the S2 lump

this is as quoted by BILLABONG!

i asked how u can tell a series 1 ecu from a series 2............he rely'd.....

By the colours/pictures on the sticker on the case.

Series 1 is blue red blue
blue red white is 86 spec s2
blue red black is 88 spec s2
hearts, diamonds is 90 spec s2

this is my question???
the blue/red/white ecu is from an 86 spec rs turbo. the 86 spec rs turbo didnt have a knock sensor so will this wok on a series 1???????
