when i bought this car in 1992 I didn't really give the reg a second thought. These days the car is known as "Bex" by a lot of showgoing XR2 fans, and being a 2 number plate it even looks like a private reg which it wasn't in 1986 - 25 only came as a private number from 1998 S reg when the DLVA decided to rip even more people off for "cherished" numbers.

My old one left on car wanted MBZ but there were too much for me at the time so got this bargin plate instead looked better than a B plate any way,

and had HIL 8059 on my old 190E cosworth ment nothing to me or the car but wish i had it now to put on my range rover.

my dad used to have M3 BBS, M4 BBS and M5 BBS (Briwell building services) on some Nissan Hi-cab or what ever they where called, would probably have been a good idea to hold on to them

Yeah, I think he had an Audi when he first bought it, then I'm pretty sure he got an M3. He's a mate of Chip's IIRC

Sold it for Ł875

RegTransfers have N5STY for Ł5,500. Think I might have gone a bit cheap?!

Was years ago and I needed the cash! Plus it was still over 200% profit!

The only plate I would want has gone already or is not availble, I wanted R10 DEN (surname is Ridden) but cant find it anywhere

EDIT - seems its currently on an Aston!

Used to have " MAD 4 1T" but sold it when i realised the 'bread knife' actually LIKED driving with the number on her motor !!?

What Martin said was very true..... bloke from B'ham gave a strong offer but bottled it at last moment cause the 'brummy fuzz' were pulling anything they possibly could !
