Default Custom Gauge Pods

I want to make a custom gauge pod on the side of the dial surround in my Sierra, well at least give it a go.

I'm using a free standing plastic gauge pod, what's best to use to stick it to the dial surround plastic? epoxy resin?

What fibreglass and filler is best to use?
P38, P40 etc. don't know which is which!

Will probably have it flocked if it turns out good, if that makes any difference...

Cheers

yeah, some sort of epoxy resin type glue is best for getting it stuck roughly in place

P40 or something similar (fibre reinforced filler type stuff) to get the rough shape

then a good quality filler to get the finish. P38 is the main 1 u wil find in most places, but if u can spend a bit extra, get a better brand, cos it will give u a much smoother finish, and it mixes so much easier, can make the difference between needing an extra application or not

and flocking the finished product means u can get away with a few imperfections in the surface, pinholes and filler 'mapping' type marks, hides a multitude of sins in comparison to paint
