Awwwwww poor Jim!

I have heard good reports about this place.

http://www.vetspecialists.co.uk/06_A...Dysplasia.html

A friend had a rotweiler with bad hips and she took him here, and he actually had a hip replacement!!! He is all fine and dandy now! lol

Keep jim in the warm, regular cod liver oil, and even a hot water bottle on his leg when hes sleeping can help ease his soreness until you find a more permanent solution!

good luck!

Iam really pissed off over it,at least if they shot him he wouldn't have suffered. The vet had him for 4 days but his kidneys were too badly damaged.

Carlo,
definately not a local crew as far as I hear.

Andrew,
surely the vet can give him a pain killer to get him over the x-mas?

Thats fucking evil. So sorry to hear it.

Cod liver oil worked wonders for my last dog and week pain killers when it was cold and wet.

Andrew, has he been given painkillers?
that metacam my lab had worked wonders for him, have also known a lot of dogs who have had it for similar problems - mine was literally screaming in agony when his front and then back legs were going in old age, it was harrowing when he used to go down with it, but that worked quickly and he was back to normal. We were allowed to up his dose when he had bad days

It was one of the most upsetting things to see his body give up before he was ready to - know how it feels when they are ill, you feel helpless and they don't know what to do to make themselves better

Hope he's better soon

was nothing wrong with jims hips after a lot of pain, specialists, x rays mri scans tests, they found he had an infection in his spline causing the bone to deteariate which caused compression on his spinal cord,,
just got him back tonight , he is much happier now but not much movement in his back legs yet but they say this will take a few weeeks
