James, when you say that the Cold Start injector isn't being used, is it just unplugged?? It could still be weeping as it still has a fuel supply to it??

its the valve thats screwed to the underneath of the inlet manifold, it has 1 pipe going in to it and 1 coming out, it also has a black multi plug plugged into it. I think the valve should be open when its cold thus to aid starting but if it shagged it stays shut and so its harder to start and runs really shit until its warmed up.

any luck yet mate , did you try the aux air valve ? If you take off the pipe going into it and try to blow down it when the engine is cold, if you can then its ok but if you cant blow down it that means the valve is shut when it shouldnt be !

Which one under inlet LOL

Anyway, tried a new Fuel ECU and started first turn of the key, just when you put foor on accelerator, stalls immediately

Been reliable informed this could well be the water temp sensor (I think) the sensor that is at the back and far left of the inlet manifold

i.e, thinking it's like -50 degree so chucking it loads of fuel and as soon as accelerator pressed floods engine and stalls??

I get a massive 'flop, flop' sound from the metering head when this happens

Well, seems all is fine now
No problems with the car at all, may get a water temp sensor as it smells of fuel badly when starting up or idling when cold

Strange things never cease to amaze me
