i use my ipod in my car as a disc changer. its on a pioneer stereo connected through the IP Bus to a little box (CB100) in the glovebox that controls it.

up and till now it has always been fine, i use a G5 ipod (video) and recently uploaded a load more music onto it. it has always been slow to search though and now it has 3000+ tracks on it its starting to frustrate me.

so who has a fast ipod connection in there car, i'm tempted by a new alpine stereo, but would like to know if its the ipod that limits the speed or the stereo, as i'm sure a friend of mine once pluigged her ipod into my stereo and it seemed WAY faster!

anyone shed any light on this...cheers
