Default Help please!!!

Hi Guys

I'm in abit of a predicament and would like your help.

I was saving my cash to buy the new Focus RS but all that has to come to a halt as my partner is going on about space for the girls and all the other bollocks women go on about.

But in the end it started to make sense, I'm studying music tech at Hertfordshire Uni and do alot of gigs with my band. My live rigs is pretty big. A huge amp consisting of a Head, 4x12 and 2x12 and a live Rack with my preamps, poweramps and effects, aswell as 4 guitars and my pedalboard.

I don't want to buy a Van and the only option it leaves me at the time being is either a S-Max or a Range Rover.

I have a mate who has a lovely S-Max with the bodykit and 2.5 turbo. I must admit that it is pretty quick for a family car, but i am kinda leaning towards the Range Rover Sport.

Has anyone had any experience with these? whats it like to drive? whats the space like?

I'll spend no more than £25K, so any feedback it will be much appreciated.

Thanks Guys!!!

Money isn't a problem, I worked hard and have had some rewarding times in my last 4 years of working and touring.

I just need something reliable and spacious to get my gear in, my partner and her 2 little girls in.

I just had a friend of a friend who has a RRS and i managed to get all my gear in and still had enough space to do a weeks shopping. So it looks like i may go for a range but only spend 20K. Anymore than 20 and i'm looking at a real bad depreciation hit with them.

Personally I would think that dragging gig gear in and out, and leaving it parked in all sorts of places would leave any motor tatty after a while.

Why can't you be a van and a focus, for 25k you could have a mint frs, a decent van and insure them both.

That was the plan but its the matter of parking them both and it'll be hassle to keep two vehicles. I mean if i buy the focus rs the problem will be when will i get to use it when i'm always at uni and touring + my other half has two little girls and i sometimes take them with me to gigs, so a van wouldn't be much help either cos i won't be able to get the kids and the missus in.

So the RRS is the ideal solution i guess.
