Default Brake bleeding/fluid problems...

Fitted all my lines up today and put the fluid in the res....bearing in mind ive done thise before and had no problems i just expected to open a bleed valve on one caliper, press the pedal and get some fluid through....i was wrong. I cant get any fluid through any pipe.....no fluid is even coming out of where the brake pipes fix into the master cylinder. There are no blockages ive pulled the res off and i can see through the holes and see the rod moving freely...

Any ideas?

But if the pedal is pumping NO fluid AT ALL through at the moment doesnt that give signs of a problem? What about if i bled it with a pressure one.....the pedal still wouldnt be pumping any fluid??? Or is it a matter of 'getting it going' sort of thing? Like i say i did this on my s2 when i removed the ABS and had no issues!

For the sake of Ł15-Ł20 I'd try the pressure bleeder and go from there.
