"Thinks" he kept it? How can you forget what you did with a bonnet? It's not like it could get lost down the back of a sofa or something.

Touch a nerve did I? I got no reason to prove my competance when it comes to cars

The duct does the job perfectly, unlike something that resembles a Ł500 nostril!

do you think these cars will become a future classic and sort after? in effect the same as the 3 door or the cosworth in general, as they were made in a limited number etc?

Doubt they'll ever be classed in the same catagory as the Escort or 3door Cosworth, but I reckon good examples will keep their value. Mine has

We'll just have to see how good or bad the new Focus RS is in comparison

what about the sapp cossie why would you not think they would be in the same class tho?they are limited in numbers etc!although i know they have no racing pedigree as such but still?!i doubt the new focus rs will have any effect on the first ones as the 2nd one is unlimited in numbers(although it does look the bollocks!)the only thing i can see cutting prices is the road tax

Well that's just it, plenty of saph's knocking about, not as sought after as a good clean Escort Cosworth. But then again, I'm a little biased, I'm still adament that the EsCos is possibly one of the best looking cars of all time....certainly ahead of its time. Plus they have the racing heritage backing them up.

The Focus RS is a great car, anyone knocking it or have doubts because they are FWD either have not driven one or just arogant. Its a cracking car, simple, good looking a reliable. But I'm still gonna hold out to drive the MK2, if its an awsome car, then I see the prices of the MK1 dropping. If its bad, then they'll stay pretty much where they are either because of the latter, or the fact more numpties have added them to the scrap yard pile and less are on the road.

If you prefer Volvo's, because that's the engineering your preaching about. However I do agree with you, better build quality. But at the end of the day, I'm a Ford man through and through, and anything they didn't make to an acceptable standard, then I got no beef with resolving that problem

Try driving a high performance example because I too have driven a few high powered ST's, and they are too lumpy and pathetic in the corners without a proper diff to support the power.

Jay, its cheap becasue its a ringer, lol

D5 JJC, 74k - FSH - mongoose and decat etc. its a very good example imo, just a few petty niggles i had to sort out which are now all done. ie heater fan speed resistor, and wiper motor relay, and it was due its next service.

but im happy with it at that price - an ideal everyday car etc

i would hope a frs is reliable!they are only 5 odd years old!wait until they get to 20 years old and then see how good they are!specially with all the electrics etc!same with evos/scoobys!always unfair imho to compare reliability with a 20 year old cossie to a 5 and under year old motors
