Are you on a budget?

If not, tons of decent options.

Planned power levels?

Area Six and stuff like the one above.

RS1800 or EFI inlet

If on a budget, the rover ones have seen decent results in the past. I have seen a Cossie one used. I'm trying to get one to fit on mine, but won't say until fitted and ideally tested

Could be a good thread this.

Keep the options coming chaps!

crazycage- I was contemplating doing a plenum like that on a Rover manifold (although slightly larger).. who did that one? Does it have trumpets inside?

The standard rover manifold doesnt have trumpets inside the plenum.

Here's a few photo's of my mates rover manifold modified to fit a zetec, you can see how the 2 half's fit together, it might clear things up for those looking to modify one or it might not

A cossie inlet will never fit a zetec. The port bore spacing on a YB is miles bigger than a zetec.

i have a nissan pulsar GTiR manifold i was goign to fit to my fiesta. theyre awesome inlets, miles better than the rover ones. 42mm (iirc) throttle bodies for each port, radius's (i know :cry) cast into the plenum. very very good design. and the ports are only about 2mm off from the zetec head so very easily matched with a bit of work with a diegrinder and spacer plate. im sure folks whore more knowledgeable on pulsars will have more info on them, what power they can be used for etc.

ive still got mine with no use for it if youre interested mate.

yeah youre right but i cant see that offset made up over a distance making to much difference.

iirc they would need to be mounted at an angle. so would need a small manifold similar to you get when fitting carbs, with the mounting face for the inlet at around 45degrees to the head face. this would allow you to even up that offset without any trouble and match them both ends perfectly. thats what i intended on doing anyway. ive stripped the car and sold it all now though so as i say, no use to me.

rad, i thought they were good for even more than that but im no expert as i say!

i iam looking at using the st170 plastic manifold, with the injector set up.
cossy 4x4 inlet, with alloy tubes welded in,to connect to the st 170 connections.
all aligned to give a good flow angle into the cylinders.

Yep they are pretty rare. I think it came from a 600 Turbo.

Quick Reply: a good inlet/plenium to mod for zetec?
