Hi all

I'm slowly redoing the kitchen, and time has come to do the worktops and change the sink. We are thinking about getting a black sink, however we live in a hard water area and think that we would forever be cleaning/descaling it! Has anyone on here got one? Does it stay clean, or is it a bit of a nightmare?

I know this isnt www.PassionKitchenRenovations.com but thought you are all a helpful bunch

We have a Franke Mythos Fragranite sink. It is not too bad to keep clean. Every month or two, I clean it properly with Viakal. Takes about 15 mins and brings it up like new again. We don't have particularly hard water though, but I don't think its any harder to keep than a Stainelss sink, which will look shit if its not properly clean anyway.

we live in a hard water area and it doesnt effect the black sink at work one bit

But to be honest it did start off a white sink
