Default Spotlamp wiring?

Evening all, After a bit of advice on connecting up some spotlamps
Just mounted 4 7 inch lamps on the front of the 205 for the night stages of the RAC this coming weekend
(2 cibies and 2 hella rallye 1000's with 100w bulbs)
the bracket i've made is removable by 2 bolts so the wiring needs to be quick and easy to disconnect aswell,
i was thinking of using a 40 amp relay, 16WG cable straight off the switched junction box from the electrical cutoff, to a waterproof 2 pin connector mounted in the grille, and then daisy chaining the lamps together.
Does this sound acceptable?
And does anyone know of any suitable connectors? someone suggested using a standard 2 pin household connector, the kind that you would find on a lawn mower or hedge cutter? but this seems a bit cowboyish?
I'll post up a pic in a min of them mounted, looks hard as nails
