Tyres
I picked up a new car yesterday. Drove to Glasgow this morning and got a puncture!!! Happily the tyre pressure monitoring system told me before it ran flat so hopefully it can be repaired tomorrow.
Also need to get two new tyres for the Vectra 225/45/17 - any spectacular deals around at the moment? I've done a Google search and the best I can find is about £108 each for Continental SportContact2 or 3.

Black Circles are 50p more expensive than Kwik Fit on Conti Sports Contact 2 and £6 cheaper on Sports Contact 3.
Thanks for the Costco idea - I've not been in there for years but my closest is on the wrong side of Edinburgh so it would cost me more than £12 to get there, before paying a new joining fee.

Well, when I clicked through on the KwikFit website to order the tyres I found an extra £10 per tyre in charges for fitting, balancing, valve and disposal of the old tyres so Black Circles had the advantage.
Rang Black Circles to see when they could fit them and the earliest was Tuesday (the tyre places don't hold the supply of tyres, and so need Black Circles to post the tyres to them). The wife is heading off on Monday so that's no good.
Rang the local Kwik Fit and they price-matched, even though they had to get one of the tyres sent in from another depot, balanced the other two wheels FOC, and also did a puncture repair on the new car FOC as well.
So, instead of all the posts moaning about suppliers, let's give some credit where it's due - top marks to the guys at Kwik Fit in Halbeath Road, Dunfermline. Thanks guys - I couldn't have asked for better.

I'll delete my reply too then, because it looks a bit random now, but "Does Tayside have a posh side?" Now there's a question...
