Default Which after market tacho?Price? What works with coilpack conversion?

My 3 door tacho doesnt work. Matt had replaced it with an elliot one but it cacked itself at the thought of actually getting used when i got the car back

Matt put the old tacho back and it looks nice at idle and as soon as it goes above 2k revs it just dies

Anyway i will probably get a nice after market one to replace it. The stack one paul has in the 3 door looks very nice.

I've also looked at defi ones which would match my other gauges...

So are there any tachos that wont work with the coil packs?

Costs of gauges and where? Mike?

Also where for the carbon surround like paul has in the track car? i really like that!

The Ford one isn't particularly accurate at the best of times, so now would be agood time to upgrade, especially if the rev limit is above the standard one's peak LOL .

i'll forward the emails from stu when i get home gimpy

just thought about this after we spoke - iirc the standard tacho mods were only relevant to some late 2wd's, and all 4*4 saph and esc cos. that and my distinct inability to solder meant i never did them lol

Speedy cables does a complete guts replacement for the std tacho, so it actually works perfect, as you say they are notoriously bad, just in case anyone wants to know.
This is a send it in, get it back service, costing around £55.
