This is really baffling me....

I've got a Ka with a Vauxhall engine and gearbox, the pedal box is the standard Ka item with the standard clutch hose running across the bulkhead until it gets under the master cylinder where its joined to a hydraulic hose I had made (the internal diameter of the new hose is slightly larger)

this travels approximately 12 inches where it's joined to another hose of same design and bore

this travels another 12 inches to the gearbox

When I undo the bleed nipple 1-2 turns clutch fluid pisses out (resevoir is full to the brim with the cap off), when pressing the clutch pedal fluid squirts out of bleed nipple under some pressure (and doesn't sound like the line is full of air) but when the bleed nipple is nipped up the clutch pedal is still soft and the fluid in the reservoir does not go anywhere which suggests it's not leaking (and I can't see any leaks)

When the nipple is again undone slightly and I put a one man brake bleed kit on the nipple the fluid trickles down the bleed kit hose rather than a continuous stream as you would expect

The only thing that concerns me is the bore is slightly larger but I'd have thought it would at least give me some feeling though the pedal but it's soft as shit, it's really doing my head in now because I want to drive the poxy thing, any help would be appreciated!!

have you tried pumping the clutch pedal?might be that the master cylinder isnt moving enougth fluid to operate the clutch.

I've pumped it loads of times, I can understand if it won't move enough fluid to operate the clutch but it's not got enough pressure to fill the bleed tube it just trickles into it which is the bit that's really baffling me

The engine is disconnected at the moment so the master cylinder vac tube is taped up, the brakes themselves are bled and the brake pedal is very firm, I have a different Vauxhall gearbox in the garage so I'll try it tomorrow, I'll also hook up the engine and run it to get a real vacuum which I don't think will solve the problem but I'll try anything now!
