welding repair panels needed cossie? help

Default welding repair panels needed cossie? help

my friend having some general work done after mot failure, he's replacing floor pans as the front foot wells need plates and the drivers side rea one is rotted closest to sill and back connecting to rear seat part.

where can we find these floor pans repair sections?

any help greatly recieved.

either off a donor car mate, scrap yard maybe cut out the bits if they are good, or just fabricate the bits from sheet metal??

you maybe able too mate but i not sure where to go for them, i know there is an ad in classic ford for things like that but not sure iff they do them for sierra though, could try them, go on classic ford web page and see if they in the links??

if your not after genuine pannels theres loads of places out there that sell them

loads on ebay usualy or just google the pannels you want should bring up a few companies

You won't find floor pans for a sierra anywhere new,I e-mailed/rang loads of places and there are no pattern parts available.

You can get sills and repair panels for rear chassis legs,and thats about it for the underside.

cheers guys, suppose its going to be custom made ones. thing is with using other good pan from 2nd hand car is its still old metal from a near 20 year old car

it depends on the shell tbh some have loads of TLC then sold as spares via engine blown and alike ..

a good metal fabricator can bend metal to any shape you like

its what your willing to pay is the real "answer" for you

get some same size sheet maetal and attack it yourself mate, if it is under neath it just needs to be strong, its not as though its the wing or bonnet, just get it welded tidy so it lasts

what type of shell is it..that would help as some have 3 2 or 1 skin sheets in the areas you are saying ..escos.. saph 2wd or sapp 4*4

what cossie type year age
