Who is good with cylinder heads? and engine speccing?
Preferably in the midlands but i dont mind travelling to an expert, or at least speaking to one. I want some headwork doing, but i dont know what really, probably just a mild port/polish head wise.
I'm not particularly chasing bhp numbers, but the rough spec is going to be as follows...
Fiat 5 cylinder engine for a start.
Tubular manifold,
GT3071R (internal gate i think, unless you can convince me to go external?)
injectors, remap, cooler, oil cooler etc to suit.
Not certain on bottom end, it'll be pushing it if i go to 400bhp on it. may as well go forged pistons and steel rods. Will be rebuilt with all new bits either way. want to keep the 8.5:1 c/r it already has.
As im pretty amateur at speccing engines i dont know if i need to do any headwork. I've seen standard heads (with cams) do 410bhp
So, any thoughts? Dont shoot me down for this, but I would LIKE the car to get to a proven 170mph. Its a fiat bravo, fairly slippy, but I cant find the drag coeffecient.
If the spec stands NO chance, tell me why and offer an alternative please![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

Seen a Fiat coupe at TOTB that went well, might be best to ask on a Fiat forum, although I'm sure someone will know something.

Yeah was gonna ask there, but there seems to be a huge amount more info and help here.
Another question: My inlet cam is adjustable, like a vernier, but not marked in any increments. Just out of interest, if i maxed it all the way to advance, or retard, what would the effects be? (assuming the valves clear the pistons)
Would advance lose me bottom end, or gain, and vice versa for the retard?
