hi,sorry to be a complete pain in the di*k with something that must have been covered a million times before but i read a thread on identifiying the difference between a 2wd and 4x4 cosworth head but now i cant find it i have looked in tech Q&A and in here and tried a search.does anyone know what section it is in or can you put me a link,thanks everyone.

 

2wd has a big lug on lh side (when looking end on at pulley end) where turbo damper mounts

no lug = 4x4

thanks mate ,looks like 2wd head then.whats the setup for the turbo damper on a 4x4 then ? where does that bolt to.

 

Std 4x4 doesnt have a turbo damper as std as the manifold design supports the turbo better.

There was a Small turbo escort engine version too but thats pretty much the same as above but with a smaller turbo.
