Get a new indicator stalk assembly!!!!! For now, try a sharp tap on the indicator stalk with the palm of your hand!!!

this is a common problem with escort light stalks, piece of piss to fix though. take switch off and lay on bench, on lighting side of switch get a thinnish flat bladed screwdriver in between joint of stalk and "rotating end", sharply strike screwdriverhandle with your palm and cap will come off. clean up the copper contacts inside with emery cloth and pop the cap back on, should work fine.

my mate does this everyday when we run out of new ones to sell.

on the escorts no dash lights or rears is 99% always the stalk. first failings of the fuse box are the blower motor, electric windows and occasionaly the starter circuit.
