great cars.our estate is superb.only mod i did was drill the air box and ut an element in.
getting rid though now.now the escort is on the road we need something cheaper to use.as its a bit overkill for town driving.

Top car. Cheap to buy, but quite expensive to run.

There's not a great deal you can do to make them faster as they're well 'tweaked' right from the factory. Fit an exhaust to make the most of the lovely engine note, and leave it at that!

Nice cars, cheap as chips at the minute aswell. got offered a swap last week, a 200 for my car, but the 200 had done 122k, mines only done 64k, if the miles were lower, id have been very tempted tbh.

118k mate,no history though when i bought it,i went by engine sounding ok etc(had regular oil changes since by me,every 6k).but i had to replace the gearbox when i got her.
not a perfect car but the estate is rare and they go between 2500 and 3k
we was thinking 2300 or near.

Not as quick as 200bhp would suggest. Not bad though, and they pull really hard at high rpm. The book lists the 0-60 in about 7.7 secs IIRC.

i have the st24, not the 200 i know, but its the most reliable and best driven car ive owned lol, its done almost 150k with history upto about 110 then receipts for oil changes etc, still drives like new, engine is responsive im really happy with it considering i came out of a cossie into this lol

i love the interiors on the st 200 though, and a set of morretes set them off a treat, glad mine had them fitted when i bought, aswell as 18s and st 200 exhaust and rear bumper lol

if you can get a good one thats been looked after you will have no problems
