Just curious to see how many RS owners are fans of Heavy Metal?

Not that i have my RS anymore (Waiting on the new one) but i would like to know some damn RS owners who listen to METAL and not that pussy shit RnB where every word is baby in every god damn song. (Kinda winds me up), Also who plays guitar?

Great speeding thrash tho, like angel of death.

 

True, they have a handful of good tracks.

Pantera kinda did it for me after Metallica backed away from the thrash stuff.

 

Rage are more kinda CRUNK style. Badasses Though. Primus arent metal but Les Claypool is a MONSTER of a bass player.

Manson is pretty cool. I've been playing guitar since i was 9 and i'm 22 now, I picked up guitar after i saw Metallica's Kirk Hammett playing Enter Sandman and so being 9 years old, i kinda was like 'Not only do i wanna be a guitar player, I wanna be just like Kirk' lol

So i've kinda grown up around the whole Thrash Metal Sound. But i do like my 'Instrumentals' like Joe Satriani (Met him in starbucks wooooooot), Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Yngwie Malmsteen and plenty of others lol

 

Too many bands to narrow it down but at the mo my fave discs in the car are

Slayer.. all that has to be said about metal.

NO WAY!!! They had nothing on Pantera!!! Slayer 1st album was amazing and then it just and always has been going down hill from there. Actually the last album was Pretty Awesome!!!

 

Sorry, but as much as I like Pantera they're no where near as good as Slayer in my opinion.

I don't care what anyone says or would like to think, Alice In Chains are NOT metal!!!

Don't think I could pick a top 5, but favourites would have to include Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Machine Head, KoRn, Slipknot, Deftones and out of newer stuff, Bullet For My Valentine started off as being OK and gradually seem to get better and better with each album. Liked early Killswitch Engage, but they seem to have gone the other way and got weaker with each album. Still good, but a real lack of killer tracks.
