Default ST170 Head experts!

Got my hands on a ST170 head, brand new, three angle valve seats and nicely ported by Neil Roper of Neil Roper Developments. How much are they worth????

It is a bare head, no springs or caps.

When you say no caps dan, do you mean no cam caps or no spring retainers? I've got a full set of springs, retainers and collets for a 170 head if they're of use? I'd say you'd get £400-500 for it all day long as it is

You can get replacement caps but then they'll need line boring. It's a bit of grief but potentially worth it if the head's cheap enough...

hmm, in theory it's worth a bit, but in practice...

caps - £50? probably alot more knowing ford though
line bore - £150 - £250?
valves - about £10 each at least!
followers are £16 each iirc
then add springs, retainers, cams and the rest and you're looking at ALOTof money to put it together properly!

i'll give you a tenner for it

BTW, most modern engines have 3 angle seats as standard, including the zetec
