Couple of weeks ago, totally stripped my s1 box down to just the casing. Only things left inside was the speedo cog, and one main bearing

Had the whole lot powdercoated, masked up the edges, so theres no paint where each part of the casing sits against each other.

Now some paint did make it to the inside of the casing, what i want to know, is will that paint;

Flake off, burn, fook the internals up

or would a gearbox builder refuse to re-build it??

get som eemery cloth and rub it off, could try some thinners aswell, it MIGHT come off, but best be safe than sorry if its easy to get to now and it isnt much of a job to get off.
