Default 2litre throttle body and MAF on a gti

just bought an 1998 escort gti and the guy has give me a 2 litre throttle body and Maf to go on it will these actually make a difference and do i need to do anything regarding chipping etc??

get your self a 130spec ecu and cams and you may bet 5bhp. not worth the hassel tho, cahnge it to a 2.0 if you are chasing numbers.

can't be arsed with fitting cams and ecu and all that jazz wanted bit of extra torque, not to bothered as they were just in the car when i bought it

We noticed a slight difference when we fitted 2.0 litre throttle body,maf,cams and ECU to my m8s old xr2i

in easy terms you made it 130spec just you never had the piston spray bars/pipes

bearing in mind his engine is the 115bhp so it would be on par with the 2i modifyed one.

anyone do a cheap generic 1.8 zetec chip on the cheap ( car only cost £600 so nothing expensive!!)
