Dunno, matey who owned it and tuned it said he couldn't do it.
Is a couple inches too high, and has a stupid on off clutch.
Car's I've owned just wind the adjuster block on end of cable.
Not had chance to look at this thing yet, is a mates car.

Why do you wanna adjust the height of the pedal?

If you mean adjusting the ratchet to adjust the clutch bite point then it can be done with a broomshank/prybar/big screwdriver and a helper. Get a friend to press the clutch, jam the arm in the box in this position and tell the helper to lift the pedal slowly and the ratchet will click. You may need it jacked up. Up to you how many clicks you need. If you make it too high then an upwards pull on the clutch pedal should return the ratchet to its lowest point. IIRC

Because it's about 3 feet higher than it should be.
I assumed moving the pedal down, would also move the bite point down accordingly?
It bites correctly for how far you're pushing, just this point, and point pedal sits at, is way too high.

So all this will be adjusted with the ratchet you describe?
Will have a good look see whats what when I get chance, cheers.

I believe it's a paddle, supposed to be knocking on 400bhp, and can't pull away properly at all.
Know zero on the system of adjustment mate

I'd said it was a couple inches high already, you must have missed it; noticed this though.

if you lift the pedal, ie pull it up, it should auto adjust.
from what you describe on the height of the pedal ,i would suspect that something on the pedal box is broken.

Dunno if it'll pull up anymore
The method you suggest, is this the set way to get the height correct?
I assume it should be level with brake pedal?
Be too easy to have a block to wind on cable to adjust it then.

pull the pedal up as high as you can
then press the pedal as far as it will go
then side step the pedal and let it ping up
this should set the adjustment and has worked for all the sierra's i've tried it on

failing that, you may have broken the adjuster in the box or, like i did in my 3 door, you may have actually bent the pedal box (mine split as the corner so it wuold take up the slack in the box itself before the clutch would start to move)

make sure your back is up to it though, pedal box removal is a pain at the best of times

Cheers Dojj, will give it a try.
How does it know where to set itself then?
Just trying to understand it, don't know first thing of set up.
Is mates new car, matey swapped everything over from a rotten shell, so would have thought could set clutch height...
Has a paddle clutch so don't know if this has any bearing on it?
Thanks mate.
