the 235 tyre side wall depth should be 82.25mm
the 225 tyre side wall depth should be 90.00mm

how does the tyre walls affect the stretch ?

i may be completely thick (its getting late )
but when you say

225 width is the proper size so will not be strectched on the rondell wheel, so when you say they look like a 235 (but are more streched) i dont get that ? surely the 225 is gonna be more stretched ?

the tyres profile shouldnt have anything to do with it ?

Confusing!!

and who determines the Correct trye size?

many rondells i see are wearing 235/40/18's, not 225's.

id have said, although it is down to personal prefference - that a 225's would be suited more to an 8" wheel, and the 235's suited to an 8.5" wheel as the rondell is!

I would fit 235/40x18 or 245/35x18 on that size rim. IMHO There is nothing nice about a stretched look!

My M3 was 7.5 front, 8.5 rear, and either 225 front 245 rear, or 235 all round, so would say as above 235 ideal size for 8.

I'm 99% sure that is Mortys car. You could ask him what size tyres are on it? Also could the funny lens affect the way they look?
