Which hose is this?
My dads car (escort) was basically overheating and it drop the coolant.
Now it went into the garage and the chap said its a hose, but its a 3 way one? he had to remove the powersteering jobbie to get to it and it can only be ordered from ford.
Is the chap for real or telling my old man any old shit?

Not too worried about whether its a ford only item or not etc, main thing is he hasnt made something up, as none of us know much about mechanics.
But from your description of the hose it sounds like he hasnt made it up
Should have more faith really but you cant trust your own shadow these days.
P.s thanks very much for the offer, but its already ordered

The only part of the power steering I can think of that might need removing is the power steering reservoir, and that's just 1 bolt and it pops out. no need to disconnect it.
