mondeo 20 tdci cutting out?

mates tdci 2.0 keeps cutting out, just dies when travelling? the heater plug light flashes
then when you turn ign off and back on it starts? im assuming its sensor / electrical but anyone point me in right direction

Had a similar problem Rob, injector or knock sensor problem. Both very expensive.
