how many hours should do an average 74ah transit battery on an average halfords battery charger?

without knowing the charge rate of the charger 8 hours is about as accurate as 4 or 12

i have no instructions with the charger. its a cheapo halfords unit and it has the figures output 12v dc 13amp and start current 120amp printed on it and thats all? is that any help?

the batt i use in my car is a transit diesel battery and 8 hours from flat always see`s it full

mine is a clarke charger not sure what model,but fucks sake it would have to be a shite one to not give it a decent charge in 8 hours,unless battery is fucked
