I love the bit at the beginning where he bends a steering arm, so he takes it apart, beats it flat with a boulder, puts it back on, and ends up quickest on the final section of that stage.

the first clip chip posted,is that the same vid whare someone breaks down ,sees the same type of car parked up at the side of the road so co driver goes over and robs the bit they need to get to the end of the stage??

Alistair Olsen on here, his old man was spectating at a rally back in the 60s/70s with his hillman avenger, and one of the competitors had an engine failure, so they borrowed his engine.

I'll PM a link to this thread so he can put some more details as its a while since he told me about it, but IIRC they gave it a proper rebuild before he got it back

Amazing... It just goes to show how far rally cars have moved away from their road based equivelants since those days. Can you imagine Seb Loeb stopping and asking a Citroen C4 owner for parts of their car..
