im off to one on monday for my friends 21st and im dressing up as a pirate, but i have a genuine captain jack sparrow hat all the way from america
lets just hope i dont lose it.....
you can usually put something together fairly cheap, unless you wanna go full out and rent / buy a costume.
my personal fave is the cactus

remember a story in the news when i was a kid about a bloke used food
green food dye to cover himself head to toe and went as the hulk (when
it was on tv in the 70`s), apparentley it took months for it to fade

I ALWAYS hire one of those Bernie Clifton style ride on Emu outfits. Proper funny with the big rubber feet!!!!
I just adapt it to fit the theme. Last time was cowboys and indians so I went as the sheriff but riding a giant bird instead of a horse.
Ive also been as a chippendale on the same Emu.
.....and as a pimp on the same Emu
Got some photos somewhere.
