its a lot quicker than it feels. think thats because its a totally different power delivery than i'm used to. I tend to judge cars speeds based on what speed the passt the 60mph sign coming clockwise out of the dartford tolls, and it was about the same as the M3. it feels really nippy in first and second gear too!

dont wanna go ragging the arse off it tho, so i actually drove really sensibly on the way home... lol didnt seem to drink much fuel either

i took the scenic route back and it seemed to corner so much easier than the M3, didnt feel as "planted" but went where i pointed it (as oposed to the M3 that just understeers ), seems like its a pretty cool handling little car

oh, and i need to sort the aerial out as it struggles with Magic FM

i'm sure the guy in the car next to jim on saturday thought he was gay when you lot were blowing kisses to him out the back window

but jim looks totaly different behind the wheel of a car than he does when he's sat at a table at a pub meet, i can't work out why

but it's nothing to do with him looking like maureen lipman in the bt ads

Sorry to hear about the mirror glass Jim.

If Rab has one, let me know the postage, and I'll cover it.

Quality pic above though - Helter Skelter jacket, curly hair (WTF), stripping down a cossie engine - happy days!

As I said, it will be a very different driving experience all round. In the wet, it's a totally different animal, and you will have to give it a lot more respect than other RWD cars. You only have to look at how many get stacked over the autumn and winter months to see what inexperience does.

Treat it well, and don't be in a rush to track it. Finding out how it handles at Castle Combe is a dangerous idea. Far better at Bedford where you can push it a lot harder.

Alternatively, you could just leave it alone, drive it, and enjoy it.

Jim - it's fine. If you have no joy with the mirror, I'll get one from Toyota for you, and send it to you.

It's a very simple self-learning, boost curve type feature.

I wouldn't worry too much.....

Jim/Rich, don't worry about postage. If it's just the glass you need it's cool.
