So how does this work? Over the past 9 years I’ve slowly been modifying my Escort Cosworth, and declaring the modifications to my insurance company, and slowly the yearly premiums have been going up. I was thinking that if the car was in an accident through no fault of my own, I’ll probably only get book value for the car, which can’t be much now days. So how does an agreed value policy work, and are they more expensive than a normal policy?
Is it as easy as a value is agreed, and no matter how the car is damaged and written off, the agreed amount gets paid out to you?
Cheers
John

I believe thats what an agreed value policy is yes. You will get want you agreed for it, provided proof of value with the money spent on parts/rebuild etc.
