not too sure tbh, has been parked up in garage for past 8 years or so, used to be used for 1/4 mile and track but is meant to be a pretty solid motor, he said it needs a new front panel which he has and i have to dig around and have a look at the rest, was wondering if theres places out of view where these rott bad that need to be looked at? i.e things removed and looked at?

i gues floor pans arent too drastic to change if need be as they're readily available so ive been told? i think its about time i get handy with a welder anyway lol, just dont want to bite off more than i can chew and end up paying people left right and centre to do the work

strut tops, heater bubble, floors, rear arches, boot wells either side, sills, scuttle, a pillars...

Basically check everything between the numberplates. TBH I would be going with someone that knew what they were looking for if I didn't.

most of the rot is not a problem to replace - around the rear wheelarches is the most difficult to do well

well i viewed the car with jimand heres a few pics, going to have a better look sunday but looks like il have it . at the minute it has a 3.1l essex lump, spax shocks all round the small cxorner bumpers, cage, tax exempt and for which can be adef at Ł1200 . rott wise there isn't much little bit been cut out on the rears under the slightly flared arches (mexico arches fitted?) floors etc are solid and a tiny bit up under the inner wing wich is only small.

let me know what you think from the pics, the paint work needs a good flat and polish to look ok but will look presentable easily and solid enough to probally get m.o.t with just overhauling the brakes.

That my friend is a Bargin, id buy that myself if i had the cash to spare!

did he tell you what model it was? I know its a Base model by the dash 1.1 or 1.3?

is the Engine a Proper RS3100 engine or isit just a 3.0 just been bored out?

Essex V6's are pretty good engines actually!
